Katrina Campion’s Education
Katrina Campion is one of our Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNP) at Digestive Healthcare Center. She received her B.S.N. (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from Rutgers College of Nursing in 2014. After working for several years as an RN with the surgical patient population, Katrina had a desire to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner in the gastroenterology field by attending Seton Hall University’s Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She graduated and obtained her Master of Science (MSN) Degree as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) in May of 2021.
As an AGACNP, she is highly qualified to conduct patient assessments, diagnose acute and chronic health issues, create comprehensive gastrointestinal treatment plans, order diagnostic studies, analyze test results, and prescribe medications to patients with gastrointestinal conditions and healthcare needs.
Katrina Campion’s Certifications & Skills
From Katrina’s extensive education and training, she has acquired various certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support Basic Life Support Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AACN) and Medical/Surgical Certified Nurse(ANCC). Along with her certifications, she is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She was inducted due to earning high marks in her graduate-level education. She is also a member of both the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Both societies focus on education with a focus on gastroenterology healthcare practice.
