Dr. Alan Gingold is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology and is the former Chief of Gastroenterology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.
His areas of expertise include capsule endoscopy, reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoidal banding.
Dr Gingold currently serves as a Member at Large as part of the Medical Executive Committee for RWJ University Hospital at Somerset. He is also on Bylaws Committee and is the former Chairman for the Nutrition Committee at RWJ University Hospital Somerset.
Following his studies at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, NY, Dr. Gingold completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as his residency in internal medicine, at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
