Gina Theofanidis is one of our new Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNP) at Digestive Healthcare Center. She received her A.A.S (Associate of Applied Science) Degree from the prominent Bergen Community College in New Jersey in 2002.
Following Theofanidis’ A.A.S. Degree in Nursing from Bergen Community College, she advanced her education at New Jersey City University completing an RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in 2014.
After achieving her BSN Degree, Theofanidis wanted to further her education and training by attending Fairleigh Dickinson University. She graduated and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) in May of 2019. As an AGNP, she is highly qualified to conduct patient examinations, diagnose health illnesses, create patient treatment plans, order diagnostic tests, analyze medical test results, and prescribe medications to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

Along with her certifications, she also is a member of The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA). The SGNA is a professional organization that is committed to the safe and effective practice of gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing. Furthermore, Gina Theofandis has a high skill set to offer, which includes being trilingual in Italian, English, and Spanish, advanced training in phlebotomy, and performing EKG’s (electrocardiogram).
