About Dr. Shreyas Saligram - Gastroenterologist in NJ

Shreyas Saligram, MD, MRCP (UK), FACG, FASGE is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and he practices at Digestive Healthcare Center in Hillsborough, NJ. He initially practiced medicine in the United Kingdom and obtained membership to the prestigious Royal College of Physicians during his time there. Once he moved to the U.S., Dr. Saligram completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and his fellowship in gastroenterology & hepatology at the Kansas University Medical Center. He then attended the University of South Florida for specialized training in advanced endoscopy at the Moffit Cancer Center.

Before moving to New Jersey, Dr. Saligram worked as an interventional gastroenterologist and was an associate professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has presented at multiple national and international conferences with several research article publications in the field of gastroenterology, looking at the outcomes of endoscopic treatment in Barrett’s esophagus and colon polyps as well as evaluating risk factors for Barrett’s esophagus, acute pancreatitis, and pancreatic necrosis, among other gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Saligram has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating many gastrointestinal disorders, with a special interest in colon polyp treatment, detecting and staging gastrointestinal cancers and treating pancreaticobiliary diseases. He is an expert in various gastroenterology procedures like gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy, complex stricture remediation, endoscopic treatment of Barrett’s esophagus, mucosal resection, enteral stent placement, Therapeutic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and the use of artificial intelligence in endoscopy.
